Lessons
Our owner here at Star City Farm has 20+ years experience and won titles in pro rodeo, show circuits, high school rodeo, and trainers challenges! She has been teaching 50+ students a week for more than 15 years.
Lessons are once a week for one hour with a month to month enrollment. We provide horses and all equipment, students only need boots and a helmet.
Lessons will teach children (or adults) how to catch, groom, saddle, bridle, lunge, proper ground work, correct equitation, walk trot and lope, as well as whatever events look fun to them- poles, barrels, jumping, western pleasure, reining, etc.
Our program is typically learning at a 2/12 rate over other programs- if your child takes 12 months somewhere else they are as far as our students are in 2 months. This program is with a dedicated and professional teacher who has the record and experience to be teaching (rare to find) they receive the instructors full undivided attention the entire lesson.
Star City Farms offers lessons to a limited amount of clients and we may have a waiting list but don't hesitate to ask if we can get your child or yourself in! Ages 7-75 are welcome in lessons! You do not need your own horse we will provide lessons horses for you. But if you have your own horse that works too, haul your horse in and get lessons on your own horse!
